Thought For The Day

Big Bang

I have been listening with interest to the pros and cons regarding the “super collider” (used to be one near here that never got off the ground – or is that underground).  The scientists working on the project are trying to discover how the Universe got its start.

“Two beams will be fired at the same time in opposite directions with the aim of recreating conditions a split second after the big bang, which scientists theorize was the massive explosion that created the universe.”

Some folks, not part of this brilliant scientific community, have feared that the experiment (the first of which happened earlier today) will create an environment in which the Earth will be sucked into a black hole and we’ll all be, shall we say, terminated.

“The start of the collider came over the objections of some who feared the collision of protons could eventually imperil the Earth by creating micro-black holes, subatomic versions of collapsed stars whose gravity is so strong they can suck in planets and other stars.”

Well, here is a word to both camps from a guy who knows little, if anything, about physics, but does know just a little Truth. You people with the concern, don’t worry about the Earth getting sucked into anything and disappearing. God has a plan, and it isn’t that.  And for you Scientists, recreating the Big Bang is not possible since it never happened in the first place. God created the Heavens and the Earth. You might want to focus on getting to know Him a little better and perhaps He will explain it to you.

By the way, are you looking for quarks. . .or are you the quarks.
