Thought For The Day

Earthquake?

A 3.5 earthquake near the intersection of 114 and 183 in Irving? Lots of people said they could feel it, and some were talking about damage to their homes. I guess I was too busy to notice. I have never felt an earthquake – and I am not sure I want to. We’re just not used to that kind of thing – though I know there have been some “little shakes” in the area over the last few years and longer.

When I hear about earthquakes I can’t help but wonder if the “end of the age” is close. . .or closer. I am sure it is, not because of the earthquakes, but because Jesus said the end would come – and it would be when we least expect it.

Then He told them:“Nation will be raised up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be violent earthquakes, and famines and plagues in various places, and there will be terrifying sights and great signs from heaven. (Luke 21:10-11)

I don’t expect the World as we know it to end this week. . .or this month. In other words, I am “least expecting it.” I would wager you feel the same way. Just to be safe, however, I would suggest you make sure you are ready for whatever might come – earthquakes, famine, plagues, even terrifying sights and great signs, or, God forbid, death.

Scripture is clear that Christ will return for His Bride. One will want to be redeemed when He does. I don’t want to rush you, but I would encourage you to seek help in getting that settled TODAY.
