Election Day is Coming

Lots of people have already voted. I have. I stood in line for a few minutes. I had made up my mind what I needed to do, and I did it. I couldn’t help but wonder what all the other people standing in line, hunched over the voting booth, and those already on their way out of the voting place, were thinking.

Some of us have voted many times over the years. I suppose it has always been a “guess” as to what will be the outcome of our decision. Perhaps that is more real this year than ever before. Historically the  choice has always pitted personalities, positions, possibilities, and potential in such a manner that the is a huge requirement for wisdom and knowledge. I know, I know, some people just vote for a “Party.” Some vote for someone because they don’t want the other someone to win. Some vote as directed by others in their life. But our choice ought to be based on a firm knowledge of Truth, and a Wisdom that comes only from God. There are plenty of people in this World who are short on both, but God’s people have access to both Knowledge and Wisdom if they follow the leadership of the Spirit.

If you have not voted yet, and if you are willing, why not ask our Father to give you Knowledge (intellectual acumen) and Wisdom (the Will of God via His Spirit in you).

This might not turn out to be so bad after all.
