Good Idea

I’m not sure our Country is in good hands. We (the leadership, i.e. Congress, Wall Street, the White House, Freddie Mac and Fanny Mae, people who refuse to exercise common sense, etc.) got ourselves into this mess. I am pretty sure no one knows exactly how to get us out.

A particularly good person to listen to is the Speaker of the House of Representatives –

“In an interview with The Associated Press on Friday, Pelosi said Congress is unlikely to approve a tax rebate before President Bush leaves office, however. She signaled that prospects are dim for a post-election session to pass an economic aid package.”

I am absolutely certain that Congress has no idea what to do or how to do it, but, God forbid that they should go to work on it! Instead, just take a two or three month vacation and let the country stew in the juice of ignorance that got us in this mess in the first place. There are no surprises here. People have been talking about this coming — and coming fast — since Clinton was in office. Instead of solving the problem, the powers that be have lined their pockets, blamed everyone but themselves, put the American economy in a mess, and damaged the ability of the average American to stay afloat in this sea of ignorance.

I’m promoting a new agenda – REPLACE THEM ALL!

If I seem overly-sensitive about all this, it’s because the same thing is happening in the Church of Jesus Christ. Self-proclaimed leaders move the Church further and further from the revealed Word of God. Men and women, boys and girls, are blown about by winds of change that focus on, and embody the promotion of self-interest above obedience to the Truth. But then, who knows, perhaps a total economic collapse would just be God’s judgment on America. Pray we don’t get what we deserve!
