Thought For The Day

Hard To Do

Some things are hard to do. Others appear to be impossible. For example, when one does not have a connection to the Internet, sending out notes to others on the Internet appears to be beyond doing.

That has been my lot lately, if, of course, I don’t mention failing to grab my laptop before returning to my Internet connection, and realizing I can’t use my bride’s computer since I can’t remember my password (which I don’t use on my laptop because it connects automatically).

Hence, I hope you have missed receiving LLOVELETTERS over the past several days.

It reminds me, naturally, of:

How difficult it is to remain close to people we are far away from.

How discouraging it is to “start over.”

How distressing it is to make unwanted changes.

How disconcerting it is to be “away” from the familiar.

All of those affect most, if not all, of the areas of our life and detract from the quality of life which our LORD desires for us. When we have become comfortable with our circumstances and situations, new circumstances and situations bring despair.

Is there a solution? Yes! Improvise, adapt, overcome! Where have I heard that before? Pray, stay close to the Father (He has not moved – you have), and give yourself to the newness around you.

Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.” (John 14:6) He meant that for all areas of concern.
