Thought For The Day

Here It Comes

Chad Groening, reporting at OneNewsNow.com, says Congressman Steve King of Iowa has failed in his attempt to change the “hate crimes” legislation coming out of committee and that the House will probably pass it. Congressman King said, “In the end, the Democrats simply had the votes to ram it through the Judiciary Committee.”

“The Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act would add gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, and disability to the list of protected categories under federal hate crimes law. Don’t believe what they say; read the bill. Think what happens. What’s their agenda? Their agenda is to shut down preaching of faith from the pulpit,” he contends. “Their agenda is to force public approval of the homosexual agenda. And destroying marriage nationally is the follow-up piece of this.”

There are still folks in America, some of them who claim to be part of the family of God, who are convinced that everything is alright, nothing is really changing, at least not significantly, and with the quiet, apathetic indifference of God’s people, America moves frantically forward on its continuum away from God.

Is it time for the Church (the real Church of Jesus Christ) to “play hardball?” I am convinced so. We need to understand that it is not just about “moral” issues either, but rather the dissolution of America, land of the free, home of the brave, America the beautiful, America the strong beyond defeat at the hands of a Godless enemy.

Arlen Specter is a great example of 21st century politics (and by far not the only example). It doesn’t matter who you damage (your Party, your constituents) or what you say you belive (doing what’s best for America); the only thing that matters is getting re-elected (hanging on to power). Whatever it takes to do that is king.

It’s a good thing the Founding Fathers of this Representative Republic are dead. If they were alive, unCivil War would loom on the horizon.
