Thought For The Day

Leadership

It doesn’t matter if it is the President of the United States, 0r the general manager of the local fast food restaurant, everything rises and falls on leadership. It’s true at the  City Hall, and at the local antique boutique, leadership is the issue.

When there is a consistent, efficient, knowledgable, leader or teams of leaders much can be accomplished. When there is a lack of positive leadership, the failure tends to trickle down and increase exponentially.

Churches are like that. Maybe more so than other organizations. It is sad to see a Church moving from ministry to a broad spectrum of folks who have great respect for the outworking of God’s design, to a self-centered leader who fails to minister to a host of people who genuinely wish to be cared for.

Leadership in the Kingdom of God is appointed. . .never elected, or chosen by popularity or democratic principles. Rather, God chooses leaders who possess the character, abilities, maturity, and holiness that will be required to carry out the specific task at the appointed place. Find those leaders (they can and will be found if one seeks correctly) and the Church will prosper, people will be lloved, Truth will be clear and accurate, and God will be glorified. Failure to find. . .or use. . .God’s choices will lead to decay and despair, and a growing  hopelessness in the Body.

‘Tis a sad day when hopelessness is visited upon a people because those who rule cannot lead, and those who could/would lead are abandoned and shunned.

Our Father is not pleased with such.
