Thought For The Day

My Preacher Said. . .

I need some help from someone out there. I have a question that may be political, but I don’t think so. I suppose I could spend some time studying the subject and determine the right answer, but, hey, I’m a busy man.

Has the Congressional Budget Office ever been right on anything? The keep talking about how much we will save – how much better off the stability of America’s finances will be  – how much it will cost – how we can right the ship – etc. Have they ever been right about anything?

Trust in Government, and rightly so, has to be at an all-time low. Or, at least, it seems so to me.

So – the question in my mind is – can we, should we, is it wise to believe everything the Preacher says? So many Preachers seem to have a (the) handle on everything from birth to resurrection, a unique plan for Church polity, the answer for every question regarding financial operations, marketing strategies, and the resolution for every disfunction. What I know, however, is that many, many times they are absolutely wrong in light of what God has said in his revealed Word.

I just don’t trust the CBO, ever. I just don’t trust Preachers, sometimes. I trust God all the time.
