One Vote Away

California seems willing to take on the task of stopping as much of the the Church’s (God’s People) activities as it can under the law. Recent rulings regarding COVID- 19 rules and regulations were used to deny Worship (Bible Studies, Prayer Groups, etc.) in homes of Believers far in excess of what they would allow under other circumstances. There were “no,” or “less restrictive” restrictions for groups gathering to watch a football game, or “The Final Four,” etc., and a Pastor filed suit. The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals sided with the State and ultimately the case reached the SCOTUS.

On the 10th of April the SCOTUS voted 5 to 4 against the State of California and upheld the right of Believers to Worship and Pray as they believe they should. Obviously it is a victory for the Constitution and the United States of America and for the residents of California, as well as every Believer who chooses to practice his or her beliefs as they desire. What is tragic is that the vote was 5 to 4. Only one other Justice needed to vote with California for the First Amendment to begin its descent into oblivion. The Chief Justice who seems to scatter his votes in both liberal and conservative ways voted with California.

There is talk in the current Presidential Administration regarding expanding the Court – and that is designed to allow for more liberal candidates to be chosen – moving the Court in a more Godless direction. We, as American Believers, are standing on the brink of losing our freedoms to Worship as we please, when and where we please. That will be “the final nail in the coffin” allowing the slippery slope of heathenism to become rampant among us.

Believers: Pay attention! This ought to scare you into Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting! Get in Church regularly! Pray like everything depends on you! Until WE are gone, we have WORK to do!!
