Thought For The Day

Pre-Thanksgiving

The grandkids, in part, are here. Others are coming over the next few days.  My bride has purchased the contents of a local grocery store. Chaos is in the air. I need a  personal gas station to supply enough gasoline for the 4-wheelers, and no one but me will remember to close the barn door at night.  I haven’t made the map for the treasure hunt (guess who supplies the treasure),  and they all seem to get insider information about where it is stashed anyway. Thursday will be a FULL house day, food will be cold by the time I get through the line, and I will probably be told not to watch the Cowboy game (is there even one this year?).

But above all the hustle and din I am thankful to be alive and have a wonderful family. I have a Church filled with great people, and a Country life style that suits me in my old age. I have been blessed by the Infinite God of Heaven and Earth, and He continues to bless me, llove me, and as one of His sons meets all my needs by the power of His Spirit in me.

It is easy to stress over our World, our society, our struggles with the essence of life, but we have more than most, and enough to be happy and thankful. I tell Him regularly I am grateful. I speak of my llove for Him, and I share my faith as opportunity arises. It doesn’t get any better than this.
