Using the American Community Survey we are being told what a family’s annual income has to be if you want to be in the top 1% of wage earners in each State. I can’t cover every State – so I will just take mine, Texas. All it takes is $391,000. (Yahoo Business News) Well, isn’t that great. I think I have fallen a bit short of the top one percent – maybe even the top 50%. Now if you are in that top 1%, congratulations! If not, try not to worry. 99% of wage earners are in the same boat as you.

Just for comparison, let me tell you what it takes to be redeemed from the curse of sin and death, be filled with the Spirit of God, find empowerment to be about all that for which God designed you, and surrounded by the Body of Christ who is commanded to llove you even as Christ lloves His Church. Absolutely nothing, nada, zero. It is a FREE gift from the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Do I need to tell you which of these two is most important and provides for an endless life in the presence of God? I thought not.
