Thought For The Day

So Far, So Good

We are now ending the election cycle and so far nothing has imploded in Washington. . .save for a few protesters who do foolish and criminal things. President-elect Trump is beginning to fill the slots that surround him, and as usual, folks are jockeying for the best spots.

I am hopeful that he will utilize men and women who are good, honest, truthful, hardworking individuals. There is so much to be done, and the sooner we get started. . .well, hopefully we will see America beginning to back away from the abyss before us.

This would be a great time for the Church of Jesus Christ to stand up, speak clearly, proclaim Truth, and lives Godly lives. Of course that means some folks would have to change. Perhaps all would have to change – at least to some degree. Just because there is new leadership in Washington, and hope appears to be waxing that what is about to be carried out by the new Administration will be good for us (read U. S.) and for our World, we have a long way to go before we can even think that America might once again turn to God.

We have become so tolerant of every kind of idolatry it is hard to believe that a majority “Christian” Nation can flourish and fill all leadership positions with men and women who fear God and live according to the revelation of Scripture.  I suppose that has never been a reality except in part, but I believe in striving for “the best” way of life, which is what God has to offer.

You, who are Believers, are commanded to pray for those in authority positions. Do that! I am going to be praying that “President” Trump will come to faith in Christ, if he has not, and that he will be filled with the wisdom, righteousness, justice, and courage that are gifts from God for those who believe.

To much to hope for, you say? I’ve read the Book. God changes things but things never change God. He lloves Donald Trump, and He will establish Him and us if  he and we are obedient. I can’t speak for what the President-elect will do, but as for me, I will work toward obedience in all things. Wanna’ join me?
