Speak For Yourself!

As a matter of fact, don’t speak at all. Justice Ginsburg (SCOTUS) should recuse herself immediate from hearing any appeals regarding same-sex marriage. (Of course, this comes as no surprise.)

Last time I was interviewed for a jury, the prosecuting attorney asked me if I had any feelings regarding the guilt or innocence of the person about to be tried. I assured him I did not know the defendant, or have any feelings about him one way or the other, but that I did not think people ought to be convicted and sent to prison for the “crime” he had committed.

Wadda ‘ya think he said?  You’re right! He couldn’t get me out of the court room fast enough. (I just this moment made that up – sorry.)

So here comes Justice Ginsburg: “I think it’s doubtful that it wouldn’t be accepted,” Ginsburg said in an interview with Bloomberg. “The change in people’s attitudes on that issue has been enormous.” (TIME) Sounds to me like she has already decided on her position – before hearing the case. Is this what we have come to? The answer is a resounding, YES!

There has been no change in my attitude! Don’t speak for me!! I choose to believe and follow the TRUTH of God’s Word. He is not going to hold guiltless those who choose their “attitudes” in direct rebellion to what He has established. Every day we move closer to judgment. That is not a bad thing from my perspective, but I know lots of people who have yet to come to the faith required to avoid spending eternity separated from the God of Truth. I covet more time for them. Perhaps that time is in the balance of how we handle the all-encompassing darkness of unbridled immorality sweeping our Nation.

God forbid His Church fail to stand Biblically in these matters.
