Thought For The Day

We Will Never Know

I find myself being cynical again today. No surprise for those who know me, so here’s what you expect. . .and those who don’t, don’t be surprised.

We (the citizens of the United States of America) will never know some things. Some are old things and some are new things.

Old – are there really some “alien” bodies and a “spaceship” at Area 51? How fast would the SR-71 Blackbird really fly. . .Mach 4, 5, 6? Did one Presidents wife really steal the dining china from the White House. . .and then return it later? But then that is so long ago almost no one cares.

Newer – did the Russians really give a rip about the past Presidential election? Did someone, anyone, any group, some genius kid somewhere in his family’s basement, “bug” Trump Tower? How quick would the ACA implode – this year, next, more, less? Are most Republican Congress persons really dumber than rocks, or does it just appear that way? (Sorry, but we already know about most of the Democrats) Will President Trump get a buzz cut if it will help him get the support of the “Media?”

I plan to concentrate more this year on things we do know. . .or at least the things that I know, and want you to know.

1) God is still in control. 2) Jesus died to redeem mankind from the curse of sin and death. 3) There is eternal life in “grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. 4) Christ will return to claim His Bride, the Church. 5) The Church is not exercising the POWER that is available to them through the resident Spirit within them. 5) Llove is a discipline not an emotion, and God’s people are required to llove each other, period, paragraph. 6) One reaps what one sows, in kind, in multiples (abundance), and without fail. 7) The Scripture (Bible) is the  absolutely reliable, trustworthy (infallible) revelation of God to mankind, and is “profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16)

There are lots more things that we know. The Scripture is replete with Truth so vast it is inconceivable and unknowable during this lifetime, but will all be revealed at the end of the age.

Yep, I think I will concentrate more on what I do know than what I don’t.
