Thought For The Day

What A World

What a wonderful world we live in!

America’s race baiters beg for violence – then say they deplore it when what they call for happens, and profess no knowledge where the ideas come from.

“What do we want? Dead Cops! When do we want them? Now! (Ferguson/New York City Protesters)

North Korea gets bent out of shape as Un and O tongue lash each other.

(SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA) — President Barack Obama is “recklessly” spreading rumors of a Pyongyang-orchestrated cyberattack of Sony Pictures, North Korea says, as it warns of strikes against the White House, Pentagon and “the whole U.S. mainland, that cesspool of terrorism.” (TIME)

The latter is like two children arguing: First Child: “You’re a terrorist!” Second Child: “Don’t call me a terrorist, because if you do I will kill you, burn your house down, and chase your family and friends till they all die.”

What we (read: U.S.) need is some genuinely intellectual people (No! Our current leadership in politics and race relations is lacking such – big time), who pursue true peace that comes only from God, combined with strength and unabashed resolve to make the World an environment led by the calm and wise, prior to the time God decides to “call it quits.”

Wisdom must be laughing – I don’t mean to sound frivolous, but here’s the reference: Proverbs 1:20-33 (emphasis added). Read it and weep for America.

Wisdom calls out in the street;
she raises her voice in the public squares.
She cries out above the commotion;
she speaks at the entrance of the city gates:
“How long, foolish ones, will you love ignorance?
How long will you mockers enjoy mocking
and you fools hate knowledge?
If you respond to my warning,
then I will pour out my spirit on you
and teach you my words.
Since I called out and you refused,
extended my hand and no one paid attention,
since you neglected all my counsel
and did not accept my correction,
I, in turn, will laugh at your calamity.
I will mock when terror strikes you,
when terror strikes you like a storm
and your calamity comes like a whirlwind,
when trouble and stress overcome you.
Then they will call me, but I won’t answer;
they will search for me, but won’t find me.
Because they hated knowledge,
didn’t choose to fear the Lord,
were not interested in my counsel,
and rejected all my correction,
they will eat the fruit of their way
and be glutted with their own schemes.
For the turning away of the inexperienced will kill them,
and the complacency of fools will destroy them.
But whoever listens to me will live securely
and be free from the fear of danger.  (HCSB)
