Thought For The Day

What To Do Now

As of this writing (Monday evening, November 7, 2016) we don’t know the outcome of the election for President of the United States of America. However, there are those beginning to write about what “Evangelical social conservative leaders,” who are supposedly “Believers,”are to do now:

Still, Trump has said he does not ask God for forgiveness, was caught on tape boasting about grabbing women’s genitals and threatened to deport immigrants and separate families. As a result, evangelicals have split along racial, gender, age lines, debating how much of Trump they could denounce and accept, even while many of their leaders pressed on to support Trump all the same. Now, social conservative leaders are left reflecting on the political impact of this cycle, what the future of their movement will look like, and what possible realignments, if any, may be ahead. (TIME)

Realignments? I, for one, have no plans for any “realignments.” I have spoken the Truth throughout the process, followed as fully as I can the revelation of God’s design for mankind, and remained true to the Faith as I understand it  from God’s Word. I am unalterably aligned with the God of Heaven and Earth.

If Donald Trump wins the election, I will believe, teach, and practice as I have in years past. If Hillary Clinton wins, I will believe, teach, and practice as I have in years past. There is nothing which needs realignment. There is nothing about the Truth that needs changing. . .and even it I thought it did, I would be wrong and God would are right.

Maybe, along with a new President, we new “Evangelical social conservative leaders.” If they are struggling with what they are to do now. . .it is much too late.

Read the Book, boys and girls. Follow the Master. Speak, teach, live the Truth. God will take care of the remainder.

May they know that You alone —
whose name is Yahweh —
are the Most High over all the earth. (Psalm 83:18)
