Sometimes I am tempted to think that I read too much. I am not sure that is possible since we often learn most of what we know by reading. I tend to scan the "news" and, for purposes of these postings, sometimes go a "little" deeper.
I have read several articles, by different folks, who say something like the following:
According to a report by Todd Starnes, "The Department of Defense classified Catholics and Evangelical Christians as religious extremists similar to Al-Qaeda, according to training materials obtained by the Chaplain Alliance for Religious Liberty." (GOP USA)
Let's assume that is true (just for a moment). What would be your response? Well, I decided to look at a couple of "comments" from responders on this particular post that I quoted above. I have no idea who this responder is, where he (the picture icon was male) lives, what he does or doesn't do for a living, but I identified with his comment. I decided to share it with you. It's sorta like. . ."I Wish I'd Said That."
They fear Christians and seek to destroy all things Christian because it is those proven Christian truths that shed light upon the darkness they bring and stand in the way of enshrining their own religion which is secularism and the worship of fallible mankind of consumption and destruction, over the infallible, omnipotent creator of all. You will know them and the father whom they worship by which image they represent. . .children of the light or children of the darkness. . .creator or destroyer. . .builder or consumer. You will know them by their light prompted fruits, not by their tele-prompted words. (Comment by inluminatuo, August 29, 2013 @ 8:27 am)
Hummmm. Maybe there are more folks out there like me.
