Good News

It’s time to name a Church. Four weeks into my study of “welcoming” Churches and today my bride and I found one. They don’t have it all together, but they are at the least friendly, and more than a dozen people spoke to us during the welcome time – including Youth, and, believe it or not, the Pastor. I need also to say that there were more who spoke to us than didn’t. The Church was small (at least on this day), but they sang a little (I knew half the songs), prayed a little, read Scripture a lot (compared to most), and the Pastor preached a pretty good message. He talked about llove. He has some things to learn about the subject, but he is on track.

I have been to this Church before, well over 55 years ago. My Father was the Pastor, and I was in the eighth grade. The building had been spruced up a bit and the landscaping is better. The Pastor said they had been working in the Education Area to make it better, but I didn’t get there to see.

If you see me there, don’t be surprised. I sorta liked it.
