Thought For The Day

Needed

What this Country needs is wise, competent, courageous, leadership. Whether or not we will see  some, or any, in the next Executive Administration is obviously yet to be discovered. It has certainly not been produced in abundance over the last few years.

To experience that kind of leadership there are mandatory requirements that allow us to understand what and how it (that kind of leadership) happens.

Wisdom comes only from God. It is not a part of “common grace,” nor intellectual acumen. To practice wisdom we must seek God, know God, and understand his desires for us individually and collectively. Competency arises out of understanding problems, discovering the solutions, and implementing necessary processes until resolution is achieved.  Courageous leadership is a gift from God that develops when our constant attention to knowing Truth, and standing firm in that Truth, leads to an absolute peace with God in our life.

Those who fail to understand what is needed will never be able to demonstrate wise, competent, courageous leadership. The current Administration has failed to lead us as a Nation toward the desires of God’s heart for mankind. Responsibility before God has not only been lacking, but allowed, even encouraged, our Nation’s skid ever closer to the edge of God’s mercy. Will the coming Administration exacerbate the problem. . .or begin the resolution? What lies in store during the coming four years, assuming that we have not reached the beginning of the withdrawal of that mercy already, must be paramount in our thinking as Believers.

One might ask, “What can I do?” Here is the beginning –

Search for the Lord and for His strength; seek His face always. (1 Chronicles 16:11)

Seek the Lord while He may be found;
call to Him while He is near.
Let the wicked one abandon his way
and the sinful one his thoughts;
let him return to the Lord,
so He may have compassion on him,
and to our God, for He will freely forgive. (Isaiah 55:6-7)

I know, I know. We want it to be someone in Washington, D. C.

You. . .and me, first!
