Thought For The Day

Some People Aren’t Listening

There are individuals in this World who are not intimidated by tough rhetoric. They want various things – money, power, land, political control, etc., and they are not deterred by “words” and logical thinking. Some of us call them terrorists. Others have different opinions.  We have heard a lot about “degrading” and “destroying” them, but what we have seen so far is mostly rhetoric. I am sure the following statements have them shaking in their combat boots.

U.S. President Barack Obama strongly condemned on Saturday the killing of Japanese citizen Haruna Yukawa by Islamic State militants, the White House said in a statement.

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe held an emergency meeting with his cabinet early Sunday, after telling reporters that the new video about the hostages’ fate was “an outrageous and unforgivable act.” (Yahoo News)

Mankind has another Enemy who can not be defeated by “talk.” The only solution is the power of God. When a Believer finds himself/herself submitted to God’s indwelling Spirit, walking in Truth, and living in concert with the Bride of Christ, he/she finds victory over the Enemy. Since the beginning of time those who only “talk a good game,” have lived in defeat.

It’s time to get past the talk and utilize the power.
