Well, Now. Let’s See
The SCOTUS has spoken. Two issues stand out. They won’t stop local gerrymandering, and there will be no question about citizenship in the coming census
Supreme Court Allows Partisan Districts and Blocks Trump Administration’s Citizenship Census Question (TIME)
It is not unusual for political candidates to gain votes by making sure that the places they represent are like-minded. Doing that, of course, demands that many districts (which elect representatives for that district) are drawn to include the people they want, and exclude the ones they don’t. The Court said it wasn’t their business to intervene in political issues – rather, matters of law.
They said there would be no question about citizenship on the next census. There is great fear that those who are not citizens will simply not fill out the census if that question is asked. Hence, there will be a lot more people we know are part of the Country who are not citizens and that has to do with politics and money. Simple enough.
God, on the other hand, has a question regarding citizenship which must be answered by every man, woman, and child. There are only two categories of folks in God’s economy, those who are citizens of the World, and those who are citizens of Heaven, (i.e.) the Kingdom of God. You are one. . .or the other. If the former, the future is not bright. If the latter, relax, enjoy your life in Christ. Our citizenship is settled and we are empowered to live as the Apostle Paul has explained: For I have often told you, and now say again with tears, that many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their end is destruction; their god is their stomach; their glory is in their shame. They are focused on earthly things, but our citizenship is in Heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. He will transform the body of our humble condition into the likeness of His glorious body, by the power that enables Him to subject everything to Himself. (Ephesians 3:18-21)
